Lombok, October 5, 2025 — Young Spanish rider Fermin Aldeguer made history by securing his first victory in the MotoGP premier class at the 2025 MotoGP Mandalika series held at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit in West Nusa Tenggara.
The race, filled with surprises, became a shining moment for Aldeguer as he finished first ahead of the world's top riders. Drama unfolded from the start of the race when Marc Marquez and Marco Bezzecchi collided at the seventh corner on the first lap and were unable to finish. Alongside Aldeguer, big names like Pedro Acosta, Francesco Bagnaia, Marc Marquez, and Marco Bezzecchi also battled fiercely. Acosta finished in second place, while third place was secured by Raul Fernandez from the Trackhouse Aprilia team.
As reported by Tempo English, Aldeguer crossed the finish line with a time of 40 minutes and 58.730 seconds, followed by Acosta at +6.987 seconds, and Alex Marquez at +7.896 seconds. This victory is particularly significant because Aldeguer is now the second-youngest rider in MotoGP history to win a race in the premier class — at the age of 20 years and 183 days.
Aldeguer performed consistently from the start. After starting from second position, he overtook Acosta on lap 10 and maintained his lead until the finish line. Despite the scorching heat in Mandalika, he remained calm and focused on managing the race pace. This victory marks Ducati's dominance in the 2025 season, while also showcasing the immense potential of the new generation of MotoGP riders.
