Bali Tourism Rebounds as Visitor Numbers Rise Sharply

Tangerang- During the first two weeks of January 2025 in Bali, international tourist arrivals surged significantly, marking a strong rebound in the island’s tourism sector, according to provincial tourism authorities.

The increase is attributed to improved global travel confidence and the return of direct flights from several major cities in Asia and Australia. Hotels in popular destinations such as Kuta, Seminyak, and Ubud reported occupancy rates above 80 percent, significantly higher than the same period last year. Tourism operators say travelers are drawn by Bali’s beaches, culture, and hospitality.

Local businesses — including restaurants, transportation providers, and souvenir shops — are also beginning to feel the positive impact. The Bali Tourism Board has emphasized the importance of maintaining service quality and environmental sustainability as visitor numbers grow. Authorities continue to remind tourists and businesses to comply with local regulations and cultural norms.

With tourism being one of Bali’s main economic pillars, officials hope the upward trend will continue throughout 2025. Promotional campaigns and international partnerships are being prepared to sustain growth.
